Artists
The
following presentations of the artists (clik the names below) for the upcoming iteration of PolArt are
the results of a three-day workshop in Tromsø and the surrounding area in March
2018. We, as an investigating art community, gathered to establish common
ground to work in a collective process approaching questions related to the
Arctic region, occupying artists and marine biologists alike. We started thinking of, exploring and discussing the Arctic as a foundational site of our
time, lending the concept of foundational site from W.J.T Mitchell in his book
Image Science and the chapter Foundational sites and occupied spaces.
